A few lady members have got together and would like to help others learn or develop their boat handling skills away from the pressure of racing or family members shouting at them!!? (as if) And also as a bit of a social.
Objective: To encourage more female SCYC members out onto the water to learn or improve boat handling skills and confidence. Plus make this a social group to meet other members to explore different activities on the Llŷn Peninsula.
Ladies That Launch
Ideas pitched so far:
- A Fleet Flotilla – members of one fleet offer to take members out sailing and give some instructions on how to sail that boat.
- A lunch cruise with 2 – 3 boats and instructions given by owners (or to owners) on sailing and anchoring.
- Shore-based talk or training?
- Private SUP lesson
- Socials? Walks and lunch?
